About Us.
We are situated in the heart of Evesham with a patient population of 9,900. We believe that all patients deserve the best possible treatment - and that every member of our practice team has the power to make a difference, every single day. We believe in bringing care to those who need it most.
Our Team of Doctors

Dr Emma Shackley (Female)
BMedSci BMBS (Nottingham), MRCP, MRCGP. Qualified in 1988.
Dr Shackley has worked in General Practice since 1995 and at Merstow Green Medical Practice since 1997. Her interests include rheumatology and bone health, women's health and family planning (she is the GP at the practice who fits the Nexplanon contraceptive implants). Dr Shackley is a qualified GP trainer and the practice has been awarded training status.

Dr Chethan Reddy (Male)
MBBS (Karnatka University, India). Qualified in 2000
Dr Reddy qualified as a GP in 2007 and joined the practice as a partner in 2015. He has special interests in ENT. Dr Reddy also does Joint Injections and Minor surgery within the Practice.

Dr Becky Seeley (Female)
MBChB (Warwick) Qualified in 2019.
Dr Seeley has completed her medical training in the Coventry and Warwickshire area, she joined Merstow Green in 2024. She has a particular interest in dermatology.

Dr Katie Reeve (Female)
MB ChB (Warwick). Qualified in 2008. She joined Merstow Green in April 2018.

Dr Yuliya Gonzalaz Sanchez (Female)
Vrach (Vitebsk Medical Institute). Qualified in 2004. She joined Merstow Green in September 2018.

Dr Emma Sexton (Female)
MB ChB 2012 (University of Bristol). Qualified in 2012. She joined Merstow Green in September 2022 and is our Safeguarding Lead GP.

Dr Lak Jhass (Male)
BM (University of Southampton) Qualified in 1991. He joined Merstow Green in January 2024.

Dr Shanti Kakurla (Female)
MBBS, MDGO, MRCGP 2008, DFRSH, OGC. She joined Merstow Green in January 2024.
GP with special interest in Women’s health and Family Planning, Minor surgery, Joint injections, and Diabetes.
Out of work I enjoy spending time with my family, gardening, and badminton.
Nursing Team
Our experienced team work closely with our GPs and other members of the Practice team to deliver a comprehensive and caring service to our patients. Whilst they each have individual specialities, they are all involved in Chronic Disease Clinics and are available to offer help and advice on a wide range of health topics including minor ailments and injuries, wound and leg ulcer care, children’s immunisations, travel health and vaccinations, contraception and sexual health, ear irrigation and health promotion.
In addition, our trained and experienced Healthcare Assistants are available for blood tests, blood pressure monitoring, ECG tracings, simple dressings and NHS Health Checks. They also assist with minor surgery, administer flu and vitamin B12 injections and offer appointments for coronary vascular disease screening and assessment.

Qualification Registered Nurse (Independent Prescriber). Duties include providing clinical care for acute illnesses, minor ailments. Lead Nurse for Frailty & Dementia.

Sam Empson (Female)
Qualification Registered Paramedic Joined Merstow Green 2021.
Qualified as a paramedic in 2014 and completed minor injuries course in 2017.
I am currently training to be an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, embarking on a Masters degree course.
Duties include providing clinical care for acute illnesses and home visits for housebound and clinically unwell patients.

Our IT and Admin support team are responsible for the updating of computer held medical records.

Medical Secretaries
Our Medical Secretaries are responsible for dealing with hospital referrals, Practice correspondence and many general queries that are not dealt with by the receptionists. They are also responsible for the administration of e-referrals.

Administrative/Patient Liaison Team
Our team of administrative assistants help to keep the Practice running smoothly. They are there to assist you in making emergency and routine appointments to see your GP and deal with any queries you may have. They are trained to do a difficult and demanding job and are here to help you. At times the Practice can become extremely busy, so we ask you to be patient.
Patient Liaison/Dispensary Team
The Patient Liaison Team are responsible for the smooth running of the clinical and reception areas of the Practice. They are also able to assist patients with a wide variety of queries including prescriptions and appointment booking. They also offer assistance to clinical staff, including Doctors, as required.
The dispensary team is made up of 5 dispensers who are responsible for the day to day running of the dispensary. This includes the ordering, processing and preparation of medication for our dispensing patients and patients who use an independent pharmacy.
