If you have a current European Health Card you will not be charged for any treatment within primary care during your stay and will be able to be seen as a Temporary Resident. If you are from Europe and do not have a EHIC you can apply for one on the internet or by completing a form from the Post Office.
If you do not have a current EHIC and you require an appointment, a clinical assessment will determine if the treatment you require is immediate and necessary. If a clinician determines you require immediate and necessary treatment, this will be free of charge and an appointment will be given.
If you are wanting treatment or medication that is not immediate and necessary, you can be seen as a private patient on a fee paying basis.
